TOEFL*IBT TRAINING

What’s TOEFL?                                                               

             TOEFL – abbreviated from Test of English as a Foreign Language – is the international test of English to evaluate the fluent ability of the English learners. TOEFL IBT (Internet-based test) is an online test which officially came out on September 2005 in the USA. This form of test will gradually replace the old form of TOEFL test like TOEFL IBT( Paper-based test) and TOEFL CBT ( Computer-based test).

TOEFL Certificate is granted by ETS education auditing institution        in the USA. This is the English certificate which has the highest value in scholarship granting and going abroad for studying. TOEFL*iBT is preferred by ambassadors, consulates and multi-nation corporation in all countries in the world when searching for talented candidate and prospects.

In TOEFL, there is no failing or passing definition. Each school has its own criterion of scores. Each skill is marked with the highest 30 points, so the final total score is 120 points. In general, the online TOEFL score is from 70 – 100 (equivalent to the score from 500 – 600 points of TOEFL test based paper) which is permitted score for studying at university.

OCEAN’S IELTS training is carefully designed to enrich knowledge and skills of doing well in the test. Furthermore, the learners are given an actual test experience in a series of “mock tests”, most especially speaking, listening and writing test.

Through this course, the students are able to:

-          Improve in all skills to perfect the 4 parts of the TOEFL Test.

-          Prepare themselves in the exam through vocabulary and grammar enrichment, practice tests and a trial test.

LEVEL TEST

Before registering, the students go through a series of tests: listening, vocabulary and grammar, and writing. After that they are interviewed by foreign teachers in order to properly assess the level of students and place them correctly in the appropriate class.

TEACHERS OF OCEAN

The teachers at OCEAN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE are well – experienced IELTS instructors, dynamic and well-prepared, and are equipped with expertise with their years of experience in teaching IELTS. They know well the demands of the students and they do their best to give them the best training for a high score target.

PROGRESS CHECK

-          There are three tests within the duration of the course. The learners are interviewed directly by foreign instructors to master their English speaking proficiency. Other assessments are focused on the learners’ ability in listening and writing.

-          In TOEFL class 1 and 2, students answer a series of questions and they are assessed through a trial test (MOCK TEST) at the end of the course.

In all courses, teachers often assign tasks for students to do at home. They are tasked to revise their errors to help them keep track of their improvement.

CERTIFICATION

The students who successfully finish the course and are able to accomplish the requirements and scholastic exercises thereof will be granted an English Certificate by OCEAN in the Recognition and Graduation Ceremony at the end of the course. Ocean will guide students to register in a TOEFL test.
